Case:


heavy 0,900 silver case. For the separate setting of the hands, the sideral-time-movement can be coupled and decoupled by depressing the crown.


Dial:


White enamel dial with an outer arabic minute ring. Sub-seconds at 6 o´clock position. Roman hour ring counting from I to XII for the sideral time at 9 o´clock position and an Arabic 24 hour ring showing the solar time.

Description:


This watch was conceived for astronomical navigation on sea and continuously shows the sideral time and the mean solar time of a selected time zone. For the separate setting of the hands, the sideral-time-movement can be coupled and decoupled by depressing the crown.
Three other copies of this watch are known and one of them was thourougly described in the magazine "Klassik-Uhren", 1/1995, p. 56-65
